This project began in 2011 when I was unsatisfied with any of the tuner apps then available for the iPhone. It took a few years, but I was able to resolve the problems of stuttering and slow response that plagued many of the apps then available – even quite pricey ones.
Tuner Features include:
- Fast response note detection.
- Unique presentation of the strobe tuner dial not found anywhere else.
- Instantaneous response to small pitch changes in the strobe dial.
- History graph showing how your pitch accuracy changes over time.
- Adjustable reference tone.
- Calibration in 0.1 Hz increments.
- Custom temperaments.
- Aside from the rating and contact buttons hidden away on the calibration screen the app will not attempt to use the network. It will never display advertising.
